Proud employees and service industry workers were honored the last week of June at the Holiday Inn University Center in Gainesville. The purpose of this celebration was to show each individual the appreciate from the hotel’s managers.
The week started off with General Manger Kim Cason greeting each employee with a Thank You card and special treat. The Front Desk Agents and Bellman got to play rounds of Bingo, which was crafted and designed by the hotel’s Front Desk Agent Brianna.
On Tuesday, the managers of the hotel took photos of all the employees as they signed a memoir board with the theme: ‘Tell Us What Motivates You.’
Employees gathered the next day for a Celebrate Service Breakfast from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Goodies such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and grits were donated by Krystal’s. Also assorted bagels and cream cheeses were donated by the generous Bagels and Noodles of Gainesville. All of staff joined in Beef O’ Brady’s restaurant next door to the Holiday Inn. 
“It’s our way of saying Thank you for building a great relationship that will last forever and help take us to the next level of hospitality,” stated Sales Manager Robert Knight.
Thursday, all the staff members met on the 3rd floor pool deck for a bit of relaxation and social time. Fresh lemonade, root beer floats and cookies were served as the General Manager led the teams in Corn Hole games. More pictures were taken and the social event was great for everyone who could partake.
As Friday rolled around, it was time for the managers to really express to the employees their appreciation in the past year. A slide show was presented showing the past week’s activities and workers enjoyed a hot lunch was donated by Beef O’ Brady’s Restaurant and Domino’s Pizza.
Kim Cason thanked everyone and showed her appreciation by giving out award and service anniversary pins to everyone.
Each department head gave a thanks to everyone also making the end of the day feel special and from the heart. The Holiday Inn University Center knows first hand what it means to Celebrate Service and how to Make Great Hotels Guest Love, one Heart Beat at a time.
